EARLY BIRD?

Today, Tuesday, April 8th (2014), I saw a single swallow flying around Coolroe townland.
I assumed it might be one of the earliest arivals from Africa here this year.
However, on checking out a county website www.waterfordbirds.com
I discovered the first reported sighting in the county was
in Dungarvan town centre,
where three were observed on April 2nd, six days ago.
