ARUM MACULATUM


 This plant has more than ten names, including 'Cuckoo Pint', also 'Lords & Ladies'. Highly poisonous red berries appear on the female plant.

The baptism took place at Ogulla Holy Well, Tulsk, Co. Roscommon.

(well worth a visit)

The two were daughters of King Laoghaire of Connacht

and grand-daughters of Niall of the Nine Hostages.

Comeraghs Snow, March 10th 2023.


 Luckily for us, there was little or no snow near at hand, despite the dire warnings for much of the rest of the country. Above can be seen the position in the nearby mountains at 2.00 pm today, 10.3.2023. Snow on the Comeraghs was heavier earlier in the year!
