The Standing Stones of Callanish, Harris & Lewis, Outer Hebrides, Scotland.

Callanish . . . the reason for trip to the Hebrides, along with Glencoe in Argyllshire, in 2010, as I then had a co-driver, which I felt was essential. Distance travelled - almost 2,500 miles.  Islands visited - Skye, Harris & Lewis, Mull and Iona. Eleven ferries used! Was leaning against stone here in case blown over by the wind! Being an extremely busy place, we had to wait until a coach-load of other tourists was gone.

There's much to read about Callanish at:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Callanish_Stones
