A special "Thank You" to Diarmuid Connolly in the USA, who sent us a nice complimentary email yesterday re the images on this website. It's not often we get such, despite the fact that the number of pageviews to date is over 120,000 from viewers in 107 countries. Neither is the facility to put your comments directly on the site used much.
Diarmuid, then a young boy from Waterford city, emigrated to the USA over 25 years ago. He says he was quite pleased to see pictures of an aunt and uncle and others from Portlaw featured on this Blog! It so happened that I lived quite near the family at that time!!!
