Once more the competitions are based at Waterford city.
and about forty competitors from around the globe are participating.
For the second successive year Curraghmore Estate, Portlaw,
was chosen as a take-off location, on two different evenings.
Above view: From Factory Road, looking towards Malcomson Square.
Those around the town of Portlaw, who didn't watch the take-off at Curraghmore,
were almost overwhelmed with back-lit balloons
all flying reasonably low, and appearing rapidly from behind the trees.
A superb cloud formation added to the scene.
This was my best shot from a number of attempts.
